Chapter 11

- For a long time, Leitha would not travel into the city of Darsylon. The pain of being
in that city was too much. She feels that it is her fault her parents are dead. Because
she could not defend them. Time has passed, however, and now Leitha goes to Darsylon
specifically to feel the pain. To feel the Loss of her parents as strongly as she can.
She walks the streets and she remembers. She remembers their smiles and their laughs.
And when she does, she weeps because they are gone. But the pain remains, and it gives
her comfort.

- Leitha still remembers her 'failure' when dealing with The Monster. She realizes she
may have darker thoughts than she would like to believe. She no longer runs from this.
She no longer is nieve enough to believe that one is born 'good' or 'evil', but that
it is a choice.

- Leitha chose to slay a neutral person, not long ago. A mage in Arkham who she thought
held her sienna rod. She was mistaken. The mage was not aggressive towards Leitha.
Leitha made the choice to slay her. This has caused another conflict within Leitha.
She is still working through this.

- The mask she wears is finally taking a serious toll on her mind. She often hears
voices, and things only seem to be getting worse. Leitha is less concerned than most
about this. Her disposition has changed. She allows change to be a part of her. She
has Lost the innocence or what some might call being nieve. She likes allowing in the
insanity. She feels it adds a sort of clarity to things.

- The Fortress has returned, and yet Leitha doesn't feel much joy about it. She
recognizes the importance of the Fortress, but she also knows its faults all too well.
She puts on the face of someone who is invested, but she no longer walks the path of
a Maran because she truly believes. She walks it because she made the choice to sacrifice
her innocence to become a weapon. She walks it because she has made the *choice* to
walk in the Light and to protect others. She isn't sure if she even thinks it matters.
She isn't sure if any of it matters other than the feelings left behind. But she made
her choice, and that's good enough for her. She will follow the 'rules' and she will
obey orders (with a few liberties taken here and there).

- Leitha has lost friends and allies. She continues to pray for them and mourn them at
her Cathedral. She reflects on the other losses in her life, and she looks forward to
the many more. She enjoys these times in the Cathedral. Her time for reflection.
