Chapter 7

- After Leitha's Angels were killed, she fell into a deep depression. Whilst
drinking at the Inn, she realized that she was a fool to throw away the pain. To
dull it was a mistake.

- Once sober, she went to the Cathedral. Once there she forced herself to take it
all in. Her parents, her angels, her very innocence lost the day she knew violence.
She forced herself to feel all the pain for all she had lost.

- In that moment, she understood. The pain meant they mattered. The very fact
that she could barely stand it meant it was all the more important. She moved
closer to Rahsael that day.

- Not long after that night in the Cathedral, Leitha was visited by a children's
doll. Within the haunted forests of Barovia, Leitha and the doll spoke at length
about Lord Rahsael, loss, and a great many other things.

- The doll also told her of the three aspects of Rahsael: The Mourner, The Child,
and The Monster. The doll said she must choose.

- As they conversed, Leitha noticed that even within such a forest and talking to
such a creature, she could not have been more comfortable. She was not afraid.
she was not worried. She moved closer to Rahsael that day.

- Leitha thought hard about who she was, and while The Child did seem a bit more
whimsical, Leitha knows she can be more. She never even considered The Monster.

- Weeks later, Leitha was again approached by the doll. She was directed to the
Cathedral where she called to The Mounrner and received an answer from a vision
of sadness and grace.

- Leitha spoke with The Mourner of learning from loss, and growing with it, and
becoming stronger through it.

- The Mourner helped Leitha to understand how she could help with the world and
praise His name. By helping others work through their loss. To cry with them, and
to help them grow stronger.

- During her talk with The Mourner, Leitha's mask drew her into insanity. During
which, she was shown a vision of The Monster. She is still unsure whether it was
real or just in her head. In her dreams, sometimes, she can still see it.

- Their meeting ended with a task given to Leitha. She is to grow to know someone
and find out how loss has shaped them. Then to find meaning in that loss. This
task is her top priority, but she plans to let it happen naturally. "Blessed are
the Lost" were the last words uttered between them. A phrase that Leitha has taken
to heart. On that day, Leitha came to Rahsael.
