Chapter 1

Life began for me in the far southern forests of Thera. I lived content alone
with no kin in the remote wilderness. On this day the sun shone down warming
my fur and a swift breeze blew across the lands as I sniffed the air for the
scent of my prey. I gazed out at the undisturbed natural surroundings all the
while scanning for movement. Today like every day I swelled with the hunger
of the hunt. It was like a thirst that needed to be quenched. In short time
with its neck slashed open my prey lay lifeless at my feet and I found
myself content and pleased. I knew it would not last and soon the void would
return. It would need to be sated but for now I enjoyed the moment.

I climbed out of the forest, above the trees towards the mountain peak and
sat on an outcropping and felt content seeing the untamed wilds all around.
The forest provided all that I needed but most of all it tamed my primal
instincts. Even now while I rested, there was always the dark thoughts at the
back of my mind waiting to return to the fore.

My eyes drifted to the far north and a grim expression came across my face. I
saw thick black smoke rising from the vile city on the horizon, Galadon a
foul mark on the ancient landscape. A plague starting in this corrupted city
twisting and growing slowly destroying all in its wake. Anger swelled within
my soul at this sight and I knew at that moment something had to be done.
Each passing season it expanded further. All within slaves to their
controlled corrupt way of life. I was full of rage but at the same time a
smirk appeared on my face. An opportunity...

This sight made me furious, it had become a plague on the lands and I knew
the time had come to leave my home. New prey would now appear ready to be
hunted. Fuelled with anger and determination I gathered my belongings and set
forth towards the corrupt city. I would cleanse the lands of the foul, the
controlled, the unnatural. I would return to nature that which civilization
had taken and one by one I would eradicate all within and cure the lands
from this vile plague. Let it begin...
