Chapter 1

Hughli the wood-elven girl embraces Chaos and Nature the way her father had
mentored her as a child.

She is the younger of two sisters. Her prettier and vastly adored older
sister has married a dignified pure-blood elf.

Hughli is angry because she feels her parents have lost their roots and
followed her sister down a false path of superficial wealth since they have
moved from the forest to within the city walls of Evermoon.

Hughli has rebelled and retreated alone from the forest of Evermoon, across
the Pass of Gol'Galath, and now seeks a more primal life starting at her camp
in the Northern Foothills.

After narrowly escaping the trolls who menace the pass, she has decided to
study the tactics of warriors to better prepare her for the struggles ahead.

Emotions derived from a severed bond with her older sister and now her
fathers compromises of instilled values have led her to take arms against
the establishment of civilization.
