Role

Chapter 1

Basic background and motives
Added Sun Oct 7 09:00:44 2012 at level 37:

Jesp was a servant in the Octagonal tower when the mage tethered them all to
the place and bound their souls indefinitely. For years he wailed along with
the others, until he found a strange inscription of the spell in the
basement, behind a secret door leading to a pit. He noticed small runes
carved into may of the stones of the walls and decided he would wait to see
what they did. After all...he had plenty of time.

For years he had forgotten about this curiosity until one day a lone
shapeshifter had made its way to the tower and began poking around. This
mage climbed to the highest heights of the tower while nosing about his
business. Jesp was not the only one who harbored magi ill will, seeing as
the whole lot of them were cursed. The librarian decided to scare the fool,
and sent him tumbling to the bottom of the pit.Jesp, of course, went to
investigate, but instead of finding just a dead body he found himself drawn
to the blood. As he neared, the runes shot out with a blinding light and
bound the blood to him, giving his body form.

This form seemed too good to be true, and so it was. After a short while,
his form began to fade again. He didn't have to be a genius to put two and
two together, so every time any vagrant wandered in he would try his best to
lead them to their death and fuel his corporeal form.

Jesp was not a killer before this curse, but rather a happy go lucky friend
of anyone. The curse that lead him to the need for the blood infused with
magic has caused a deep anger full of resentment towards those that hold
magic in their blood and those who use magic more than casually. His anger
also stems from the desire to be free, and at the loss of who he once was.
He wishes to be free of the curse and of the person who he's become. Above
all he seeks to be free of his curse so that he can be free to become who he
once was.
