I sing it again right after the slept thief wakes and it doesn't effect him...

I can't reproduce this. Given that your victim can sneak, the more likely explanation is that either:

1) He left before the song, and came back to mumble afterwards, or
2) He left, and someone out of your PK is mumbling.


I don't think this is a bug but still it would be so much more usefull...
