'You land the killing blow against xxx' messages don't seem to show up when someone dies from the damage of falling into a spiked pit or incendiary cloud explosions or immolation unless you're in the room when the death happens. This is as a 10 earth, fire, air, ooze affinity invoker with spiked pits and cloudmage edges, if that's relevant. If someone teleports away into a monster and dies or is finished by another player, there are the normal kill and assist messages. I think the acutal kills are counting normally for credit and xp loss and this is really only an issue when searching through logs.
