Alright, so. Something I hadn't noticed before, but it seems to be a little off all things considered.

When attempting to call the Fort Pledge/Scribe ability Favor of the Sun I'll get the usual "You lost your concentration," and "You are granted the favor of the sun" echoes. However, after looking at my Score screen, I'm noticing that Favor of the Sun isn't on the active effects and I did check with someone to verify that the Fortress was in possession of the Orb.
