The Conjurer's Lecture Hall 
  Two rows of high-backed benches are aligned before a podium at the
north end of the chamber, where diagrams in chalk have been scribbled on
a wall-mounted slab of slate.  The windows at the east end of the chamber
have been closed and shuttered and the only light illuminating the room
comes from an antique iron chandelier topped with dozens of burning candles.
To the west the chamber leads to a wide hallway.
