Whoops- just NOW looked at the rules... I wasn't supposed to post logs of active characters. I hope I haven't offended anyone, but I assume if I have then these posts will be removed. I promise I'll never do it again :) Since it hasn't been removed yet, I'll respond to the advice you guys have given me. I'm a bard, chosen because I read that Bards are a good class for new players. I like the lore skill, now that I have it. But you're right, I only have one attack per round, unless I kick. I've been putting all my practices into my songs and defensive skills... maybe I should focus on the martial skills? I have a return potion (found the apothocary in Udgaard while on a quest), but I panicked and didn't think to drink it. Same reason why I didn't run away at first. I'm sure you could tell by the way I was frantically punching keys once wimpy kicked in. Plus, I didn't know how quickly I could die. But it is very helpful to know that thieves have a 4 round lag after backstabbing- I only know about bard lags, since that's the only class I've played. And I agree about the armor statement, but the problem is that I don't know what is good and what isn't, except by using lore and advanced compare. But I feel like as I keep playing I'll figure that one out. I'm trying the best I can with my bard, but I think in the end she's a learning experience more than anything else. I'll keep chugging. Thanks for the input, even though it seems self-evident, it makes a big difference to have someone point out specifics about what I did wrong.
