Chapter 6

In the heart of a lush, ancient forest, Merigaeld and her family lived in
harmony with nature. Their simple treehouse nestled high among the towering
branches, a haven of tranquility amidst the vibrant woods. Merigaeld, a
loving mother and protector of her children, cherished the serenity of their
woodland home.

One fateful day, the tranquility was shattered by the arrival of Imperial
invaders. They sought the valuable timber of the forest for their mighty
ships and showed no regard for the lives dwelling within. Merigaeld, her
heart aflame with fierce determination, rushed outside to confront the
intruders, instructing her children to stay hidden and safe inside their
sanctuary.

With shocking suddenness, a blaze of magical fire erupted, engulfing their
treehouse. The flames danced with wild ferocity, consuming everything in
their path. Merigaeld's cries of despair pierced the air as she desperately
tried to battle the inferno. She attempted to pry open the charred door of
their home, but the searing heat scorched her hands, bringing her to her
knees in agony, coughing and weeping.

Ashen tears streamed down her face, her pain mirroring the devastation that
raged around her. Other villagers arrived, their faces covered in black soot,
and carried Merigaeld away from the smoky woods. The forest, once so vibrant
and full of life, was now a scene of desolation.
