Thats what Khard says when he dies.

Well, guess to start from the beginning. Don't exactly know why, but started out with a dwarf named Khard. Knew he was going to be a battlerager (its in me blood, me swears) but didn't exactly know how to get him there like all the other cookie cutter ragers. So sort of made it a quest from his deceased king to become a villager and find a way to wipe out the evil that invaded his homeland. Mind you, its not magic that took his homeland, something else.

As for specs, I remember reading on these forums once that someone would just like to see a dwarf/giant/elf and nothing exotic. Got to thinking on that, so I thought, what the hell. Ain't nothing more dwarf like than a dwarf using axes and maces. Also, gave a lot of people grief about not having dwarf like specs, using "pigstickers" or "pigpokers" instead of axes/maces. Also along these lines of playing a dwarf, I figured I may as well use forge, and forge a lot of weapons I did. My favorite one that I forged was a certain sword for Xaden that topped out at +10 Dam or above.

Axe spec dwarf is almost unstoppable at 20-40. Lost a couple of fights but learned a lot from those few times I died. Learned that if you fight a dagger spec, you better be prepared (ie lots and lots of plus str) and know when to flee from a spear spec after he has you impaled so that you don't die from the bleeding. Mace spec was allright, was really good for ranking. Also good against shifters as well. No complaints on either.

Legacy wise, on the otherhand, I was kind of dissappointed. Ward of blades didn't seem to help my tanking against mobs at all, but on the otherhand, I remember tanking Graanaak for 10+ rounds of combat, and still getting away. Incindary wave works great for ranking, but I wasn't too impressed with it when I was fighting. Guess I just started to not take notice when it was going off and stuff. I also thing I needed to do some other things in order to get both these legacy's to work better, but didn't take the time to do it.

One of the biggest problem being an axe/mace spec is the inability to tank mobs. I told most people when I grouped with them, "Me tanks bout like a rock floatin in waer!" Also, not being able to tank when it comes to the imperial council mobs made it really tough for me to raid. In fact, I tried once, and had to quit after about an hour of going in, working on them, and fleeing to rest. It also made it difficult killing some mobs for equipment, but surely but slowly.

One last thing, Khard was a blast to play. Had lots of fun interacting with eveyone and anyone, and it always seemed that I had something to do. Not once do I remember being bored with Khard, which I think helped me keep intrest in him.

Goodbyes:

Immortals: My thanks for keeping up with the game. Been playing for a while, and love every moment of it.

Kastellyn: Didn't see too much of you, but know your there somewhere.

Ordasen: Glad you gave me the title, made swollowing not getting more con all the better. Seen you quite a bit, and was glad. Overall, you and Kastellyn are doing a good job with the village in my mind, contrary to what some people seem to be saying.

Muuloc: Fought you a few times before you immorted, though I don't think you ever died. Was lots of fun.

Mortals:

Village: If I am forgetting anyone here, just post and Ill let you know what I thought.

Iborenn: Loved giving you crap in Khard's younger days for being a drow in the village. Was lots of fun doing anything with you. Even picking the fights like you did, and the exploring as well. Even though that exploring more than likely got me killed

Acaga: After you died, thought that I better step up to help repalce you. One hell of a berserker, learned a lot from you about the village and being a berserker in general.

Glaurthran: Fun running around with you. Dagger specs are still really nasty.

Karashin: Also lots of fun running with you. Sorry I could not protect you better when Wungar came that one time on the mount, and glad to have helped you like I did with the armor on the other time.

Alathin: Good bard, helped keep me in line. Keep up the good work.

The other villager, there were quite a few. My apologies....

Scion: One thing you could count on, it was a good fight from any scion. You guys all seem to have A/B/S and you all know what you are doing. Lots of fun.

Fort: Pissed a few of you off, had some good friends amongst you. Also killed a couple of you as well.

Empire: What happened there at the end? Hell, was getting to the point that I was fighting more fort people than empire, a total switch from when I first was a villager. Various high prest shamans, had lots of fun fighting you all. Various warriors, not too many survived me, I think. Tyranious was one to note, always coming after me alone.

Outlanders: Helped you guys out once, and got it so that it seemed that you were not going to hunt me anymore. Then BAM! out of the blue one of you comes and swoops down, and attacks me. Was king of annoyed about that, but I should have expected it. Killed a few of you, ran with a few of you. Ran away from a few of you also.

Cathoria: Skilled warrior who knew what they were doing.

Tribbies: Only one worth mentioning here, and he posted below. Otherwise, lots of fun fighting you all, and still somehow surving.

Hlaqyiobt: Thanks for all the fun times ranking. I don't think I ever would have gotten anywhere without you there tanking all those mobs. Was fun, hope your dragon hunting is going well enough.

Thats it. Post, and Ill try to reply.

Khard/Krathrael/Kraethal/Cylandrael/Cylandrex and a whole bunch of others.

We fought a few times, when I was ranking up and a couple at hero range. It was always a pleasure to fight a villager that conducts himself in the way that you did.

Con loss? If I ever play a villager, that is exactly the way I would want to go out.

Heh, being this is the 3rd or 4th villager to go this way, I think I am getting the knack of it.

You were an evil bastard through and through. To be honest, I was afraid to fight you after the first at hero. For some reason, I don't remember fighting you before that, but thats what happens when you keep a character this long.

Good luck, see you round.

Interacted with you a bit and you were a very dwarfy dwarf well role played. Its hard to interact with other dwarves because of wungies relgion but I enjoyed our talks. My only criticsm is that it rubbed me the wrong way that you ganked me on the mount to protect karashin and got promoted to veteran 10 minutes later. Yeah you earned vet no doubt, but getting it right after you fight a 2 v 1 as a berserker and the one you are trying to defend ends up dieing just seemed like poor timing. Hey make a maran now or an imperial would like a chance to interact with you more as an enemy or allie

See you in the fields

Funny thing was, you came and attacked us. Yes, I wasn't in the group, but I knew it wasn't going to be a fair fight between you and the duergar. Thats why I jumped in, to keep the fight fair.

If anything else, and I could be wrong, since you came and attacked our group of people, I am more than allowed to jump in on the fight. In either case, I thought it was fair fight and a good one to boot.

And thanks for all the fun that helped keep Khard so interesting all this time. See you round.

In response to Reply #6

I think it was bribing duergar rager applicants with your dwarf-only armor to send corpses to Eshval that earned me the black prophet title.

Khard was a solid rager, and not someone I was happy to fight.

I did have some of my best showings against you, defending against seriously bad odds, and when it turned out bad for you, you took it in stride. I'm glad you had fun because shamans can be a real pain for ragers.

Well done.

Yeah, its bad odds when me, Acaga and another axe spec rager comes in raiding. Nothing like triple pincers every other round or so. How you survived the two times is beyond me. Escaped by the skin of your teeth. Have to see if I have the log of that one.....

As for bribing duergar applicants, I don't exactly remember that at all. I don't think I ever tried to bribe applicants, hell, I even think I scared off a couple of them on accident. Oh, well.

Thanks, see you in the fields,
Khard

Was that he was very loud, and very forceful. "Right, now you gimme that worthless exuse of a hammer, take this one 'ere an' get out there, go on, git!". Alright, not the exact wording, probably even the type of slang he used, but it was a long those lines.

Very fun character to be around, as I said, always loud and making his presence known. Good job, and good luck with the next.

Ye give me 'at mace an be takin 'ese two maces! Now git out 'ere and be killin some mages already! *dismiss* Or grabbing you and running you around half of thera for a starter set of plus str gear so that the next time you go fight, you don't drop your weapons.

Otherwise, Jurt was kind of like a small dwarf in Khards mind. Partly because you were a mace spec, which Khard liked, and also you seemed like you were newer, but that might have been your roleplay as well. Hope I showed you a few good things.

Khard

Second time I have been in the village with you. First time was with Kraethal, though that didn't turn out so well in the end. This time was a lot better, due to the fact that I think we made a decent team. You taking blows and me just dishing out damage as much as I could. Also, thought it was funny that the other defenders kind of had to wait in line to bandage me, because you always seemed to be on top of that stuff when we were out.

All in all, thanks for the induction and the chance. Though it did seem to take a while to cross paths in order to get my hut.

See you round.

My brother Veteran, the only one in village as long as me and Iborenn. Quite sad to see you go, you were the epitome of a surely dwarf. But a good guy to have on your side. You'll be missed, and great job.

Which also means that you die some. I was a factor in two of your deaths, and the mob was the killer. Manacles did make you a lot easier to fight at times. You stuck out there to fight me and flee at convulsing or writhing at those of the times you were losing, as those times tell most about how brave you really are, which is braver than what I have seen from other Ragers(no, they are not cowards, but you were brave). I said at times that Khard was my favourite Rager, and your con loss was only fitting to one who chose to live the war. I have some logs of you(we both can post our views of that last death). Great character, I had fun when Khard was around. I didn't realise that you fell and scouted half the Thera(flying) to finish you, not finding anything. Then I checked whois kh and though that you had lagged out(I knew you wouldn't do such thing on purpose, which is why I was rather baffled), and then you spoke to me and I finally understood that you had con died. Khard was lot of fun. You were a good winner and a good loser, and I appreciate both qualities.

Loved Khard. Was fun to always be around. And you're not one of those boring light lovin' dwarves either! Woo hooooo. Anyway, great character, sorry to see you go. But there's no other way to go than con loss, especially as a berkserker. Well done, see you in the fields!
