Skallgrim,

Thanks for all the great interactions. It was really weird how it happened but I really enjoyed it all and was glad that it worked out so well. Thanks for taking me under your wing and showing me the ropes. Will say more when I am gone.

See you in the fields.

You were a really cool character. have known you from
both sides of the fence. and through a few of my
'trial' characters. always an awesome fella.
see you next incarnation.
though one of my goodies got a really cold shoulder from you
when i showed up because i saw a necromancer i could harm near the fort. never figured out why. maybe you thought i was with them??
well no matter. Not even sure who i was then. and i was playing around with class/race/role ideas before finding something appealing to stick to.

Well done!

You were a very big thorn in my side. My race/class combination is just eaten alive by the dwarf paladin and you were a perfect example - you nearly killed me too many times (and killed me some even). I never gave up though, because I planned to do the impossible and kill you some more times and wear your skin. Alas, I couldn't do it, wrath just owns Duergars completely and utterly.

Well done though, it was fun fighting you. Thanks for not looting me the few times you killed me, I tried to show the same when I killed you.

It was a long journey. My second dwarf shield paladin, so it was not something new. Virtues were Faith and Fortitude. I really liked the faith, but fortitude has some supps that dont really fit well with a dwarf. I had this long period from 20 to ca 39 when i was semi empowered. Saldradien was away for two weeks at the porn festival in Cannes, so i stuck it out. I had many deaths in that periode.
Playing shield paladins is somewhat masochistic since you will take so much beating. I am surprised i lasted a full dwarf con, minus some fiery rings and suicides. Actually i deleted twice, but came back. It was a fine char that gave me much fun.

I certainly forget someone, but here are my goodbyes.

Fortress:
Elstratuviel; we had some fine travels. I liked you a lot; I hope you keep up for a long time, because it will be fun fighting you . Skanelaw; Took you under my wings at some point, and you grew on me. You make a fine maran, and your future is bright.
Jirash and Lariya: Good leaders both. Especially the relaxed tone Jirash has is appreciated.
Sgralnaoc and Beltantis; Both had my respect and you will both do fine without me.
Vorondel: Goodbye friend.
Other squires and acolytes....i tried to aid you in any way i could, but i am certain there was more to be done. There was not one of you i did not like. Except Endorol of course, hehe.

Empire:
Zhenzar; Knew you from rank 15+, and knew that you would be around when i heroed. I even asked for the faith virtue to fight you. Respect to you. Much more to be said, but i have some cool logs that i might post.
Yanacek: First i thought you just were playing something totally porn. Then i found out that even if poison path was overpowered, you are extremely skilled. The one thing i remember best is when you stepped out in front of me and Natherin. I will post that one.
Vilkins, Barduk, Xygarthon, Kardok, Dahrozirn, Aieekoso... All good sports.

Village:
Props to Sharidum, Kackrik and Thrakadan. Feel a bit bad about the last ones with you Thrak, since we fought so much one on one earlier.
Flaerglum.....remember the duel? That sorted things out between us and we became sort of allies.

Scion:
Mekantos; Lost much con to you when i was not fully empowered. Thought you would end up in hell, but damn you went the other way.
Etarekoth; Never saw you much .
Assorted invokers; just not a good match up.

Others:
Lorran; A strong friend.
Illademn; Could always count on you.
Eileson, Umalilath, Odelius, Elhe, Natherin, Belrhin, Dhak.... All fine allies in a time of war.

Goronik; good fights and a fine tone.
Kelrizza; always fair in your judgement.
Voronil: that time outside the ranger must have been something that silly guardian pushed you to do. You never acted in such ways before nor after.

Immortals: A big thanks to Blachmian. Thanks to Saldy for the tat and title. Ancient knight gave some nice compliments at times too.

first off, well done... You where one of the few that actually stick around even outnumbered badly... I remember quite a few times running from north to south, looking for you... As for your virtue's - I hated faith... And it seemed like every god damn paladin had it, and that was one of the things that could scare me a little... Not nice having dispelled all communes and lost the ability to refresh them...

Also, thanks for the talks'n'fights... We surely did have a blast!

As for the logs, feel free...

Zhenzar, Imperial High Priest

WHAT?! You didn't mention me :p

Knew you only just the days before you con-died.
But you sure went out with a blast. Helluva nice
ganking we pulled yesterday. To bad you died, was
just getting to know you, and it seemed like great
fun. Oh well, guess I'll stick with beltantis to
give me that aura I need so often :p

Was a blast to know you the short time I did.

<insert standard good luck on the next rant>

It's gonna be sad to look around and not see you on the game anymore. You were always a breath of fresh air waiting to help and being there constantly. You were a good Maran, though I never personally saw much RP from the Saldradien side, I should have pushed more for it. I know I haven't been around much this last week, I have had some things to do, and now I regret not being around to see your final days. As always, I hope you enjoy your next and know that you will be missed.

I liked you at first and had a lot of respect for you. Then I lost a lot of it when there were seven of you on and you started taunting me. It just didn't seem very "paladinly" to me. The second strike came when I offered you the chance to come and fight me one on one and you refused. A Maran/paladin refusing the oppurtunity to strike down and destroy evil?

I'll give you credit thought you always came to defend, no matter the odds. Unlike a lot of the Fortress you'd also stick around when the odds weren't in you favor. Let's see what the next one turns out like, I'm sure it will be impressive.

I can't believe my rot couldn't get you, either. Bah! We had a whole lot of good fights, though it took other people around for either of us to die. I liked you. We had some good talks, though we rarely talked philosophy and we both knew the other wasn't going to change.

Good luck with the next. Who else have you played?

Sad to see you go. We had lots of fun together...
And ofcourse, we fought a lot of battles. I'll remember
you as the paladin that gave me a sanctuary before he
said "hello" when we met each other. I always thought that
was funny, sometimes when I flew up to you.. BAM, you are
surrounded by a white aura... Mwhu hahhaaa!
I hope your next will be as good as this one. Take care!

In response to Reply #1

Well, what can I say. For all the times we fought, I figured it was worthy of a mention. Just kidding. I really don't care that you didn't, but I did want ot express my thanks for the many fun battles we had. You were a true Paladin, devoted to your brothers, which is good to see. You were around in the good times of the Fortress and in the bad times I'd say. That goes to show a lot in my opinion. Good luck with whatever you play next, you did very well in my opinion with Skallgrim.

Too bad, this one. I really enjoyed our travels a lot, though I must admit that at times you .. messed things up.. mostly there was no harm done, we succeeded in pretty much everything in the end.. Anyways, a good paladin, always up to beat some s**t out of the evils, whatever the odds, I liked that..

Els

PS Remember I misspoke myself with Elstratuviel one time ? Keep it to yourself

Sad to see you go I must say. You were always there and I think you're the first paladin I've consistently not heard any complaints from about running out of mana from communing sanc on a raiding party of six people

Well fought, I hope I managed to sneak around with you some times when you didn't know I was there and then come out of nowhere to lend a claw and spear.
I liked fighting beside you, stoic unmovable dwarves and all that

Good luck with the next an all that jazz, take care
