Chapter 3

Thalendor had felt much pain and anguish when he found the three stones that
chronicled the slaughter of the Sylvans and the rise of the Refuge. He can
still feel its images burned into his soul and it drives him to this day. He
is thankful that Harbinger Rinn found him worthy of a branch in the mighty
tree of the Refuge. He has made many new friends and worthy allies. He has
learnt much in the ways of fighting the enemies of Thar-eris and has managed
to fell some imperials on the way. His birth home of Evermoon is now a
distant memory as he helps others in their freedom from slavery and teaches
them the way of the land. Thalendor felt blessed when the apprentice augur
of Ergush spoke to him.Told him to venture forth and bring back a sacrifice
for the Altar of Ergush. Thalendor has now done so, and hopes to continue
down the training of the Druidic path, under the watchful eyes of mighty Lord
Ergush.

Chapter 2

Thalendor was able to gain a little knowledge. He overheard some talk
about slave market in Hamsah. He also noticed some of the wagon guards, were
the same as the ones he had seen in his home. Seems the same coins used for
buying a meal, were also used to pay mercenaries and buy slaves. Once out of
the mountains, they headed south through the plains, only stopping in the
outpost to replenish supplies. A few silver coins was all it took for the
guards at Voralian city to look the other way as they passed. Dawn
approached as they reached the great Eastern Road. The horses seemed to pick
up pace, on the paved road. Thalendor thought he saw movement in the forests
to the north as they swiftly rumbled east, but thought he was mistaken.
Then, a blinding light struck a guard nearby and vaporized him.The wagons
stopped, and the guards took up defensive positions. Warcry's could be heard
as the trees came alive and attacked the caravan, wild beasts following, with
robed druids not far behind. The battle was brutal, superior numbers of the
attacking force soon overwhelmed the caravan of death. Sometime during the
battle, Thalendor lost consciousness and was carried to safety in the arms of
a Treant into the Grove itself.Thalendor was now safe, and his wounds soon
healed with the help of these druids that had saved him and his fellow
prisoners. Once healed enough, some of the prisoners took up the offer of
the druids for guidance back to their homes. Thalendor decided to stay with
the Grove Druids, and continue his training. He had no intention of going
back to his home. Over the months he had come to realize something. Evermoon
Hollow was a shadow of its former self, the old ways were lost, and it was a
mere tourist town now succumbed to the greed and commerce that was killing
the world.

Role

Chapter 1

Thalendor was born in Evermoon Hollow. His Father is a guard of Evermoon,
and his mother works in the armory making moonstone leather armor for their
kin. Evermoon prospers with commerce and trade with far lands and people.
In addition to the traditional Wood-elf adventuring guilds, there are also
many more guild represented in Evermoon. Growing up in such a wonderous
place was great for Thalendor. He was able to observe many races as they
visited and he loved wandering around in the woods near Evermoon. Travelers
would often visit Mushroom Tree tavern for a meal and a drink before heading
into the mountains on their long trip back to civilisation. Some of he
visitors he observed, he was wary of, like the guards that came with the
bankers. Their stories he overheard were crude discussions of Hamsah
brothels and blooding killings they had watched in the gladiator arenas.
When Thalendor came of age he was Guilded to the Druids. Blessed with
newfound spirit, Thalendor started his journey learning ways to help plants
and animals survive, with the help of the Gods.One of the first skills to
learn was Herbal Medicine, the Guild Master took his young students into the
woods of Ar'atouldain to show them which plants and herbs had healing
qualities, and which ones to avoid. The whistle of the cross bow bolt was the
first they knew of attack. It thudded into the chest of the young Wood-elf
next to Thalendor. The battle was fierce, the master felling a half dozen
attackers before he was slain, and the remaining students, including
Thalendor were overwhelmed. For many months Thalendor was kept prisoner in
Velkyn Oloth. Shackled to the wall, and beaten his spirit was strong, and
could not be broken. The guards took delight in using iron shackles,
watching the metal burn into the skin of the elf. Thalendor lost track of
time, weary and delusional with lack of food and water.Eventually some
guards entered his cell, and dragged him, along with the other remaining
prisoners, up to the courtyard where there was a waiting train of caged
wagons.Leaving the forests behind, the traveled west through the mountains.
slowly gained strength as the prisoners were being fed on the
journey.
