Krelvix Leisurely the Grand Master of Changelings

Description

Before you stands the thin, wiry form of a half-drow standing nearly seven
feet in height. Two wild, bulbous eyes peer about himself eagerly, nothing
seeming to keep his attention for more than a moment. A scraggly beard
wriggles its way across his face, completely unkempt. He wears magely robes,
but they do not appear at all well taken care of in the least bit, which
seems strange as most mages pride themselves on such. A weathered and
waterlogged journal is tucked away securely under his belt-- clearly an item
of value to him that has seen better days. His silver hair is just as wild
and unkempt as his beard, tumbling down his neck and cascading down his
shoulders.

A Mind Liberated.

I've been thinking a lot lately... This white porcelain half-mask that I
pilfered from some conjurer on one of Hamsah's many ships seems to be imbued
with strong, mind-liberating magics. It makes my mind feel so... weightless.
It peels back the few remaining layers of social clout that lingers on my
thoughts that were placed there at a young age.


I was told that sometimes I rave like a lunatic... like I'm insane. Perhaps
that is truth, or perhaps it is the truth that I recite.


I've only found such clarity in one other place-- the psychoactive
hallucinogens produced by the giant toad form. I've managed to harness its
potency by rolling around in food, then eating it in the shape of the cheetah
to utilize its heightened metabolism, amplifying its effect.


I'll have to continue with my research in this. Perhaps it will even aid in
seeing the equation more clearly.

This Little Piggy...

Pigs in captivity are docile, delicious little creatures that are good for
nothing more than to be harvested for their meat. But... if a pig is
introduced to the wild, it becomes a completely different beast. Its skin
begins to toughen, its hair grows coarse, and gnarled tusks emerge from its
face.

Some would accredit "Mother Nature" for this change, and perhaps they're
right-- I've never met the ol' broad. But what if... what if it was something
more?

What if it is as simple as the pig's newfound freedom attracting the
free-flowing chaos magics that float aimlessly throughout Thera, transforming
these otherwise worthless creatures?

Growing up under two, well-off parents who commanded me to follow in their
footsteps, I've always felt like a pig-- shuffling from trough to trough and
carrying out tasks that I was "supposed to" with the promise of success.

All I had to do was look at the lameness of the pig and the greatness of the
boar to decide: It was time for this little piggy to leave home and get some
damn tusks.
