Chapter 4

An intense look encompassed the face of the Half-Elf here, looking at a
training dummy, a pink aura surround it. She uttered a small incantation
and watched as a radiant flare shot toward the dummy. This continued for
hours, as she took a small break between each cast of the spell to jot
down some notes. She was in the middle of writing on a second page when
a beautiful elven woman walked in. "Are you still at this Sephira? Do
you really think you can crack it?"

"I do, mother." replied Sephira, not even looking up from the notes she
was writing. I've become a master of the Elements, but I don't feel like
it. I very much want to unlock another a plane, even. Someone has
already discovered the basis for it, I just need to figure out how to
further it along." And with that, she continued to cast her spell at the
dummy over and over again, trying to find something to use.

Chapter 3

A now mature looking, red-headed half-elf sits along a snowy ledge,
overlooking Voralian city and the surrounding foothills and farmlands.
Her eyes seem distant though, as if she is lost in her thoughts, and she
begins to speak to herself.

"Captain now, huh? Lord Ignolmeer has given me a large responsibility,
one I must be sure to live up to. One I must always strive to be better
at. I asked him to teach me how to be a better leader...trial by fire,
then? It is most definitely not something to be taken lightly, and I
must do my best to be an example for the Squires and Maran to look up
to."

She gets up and begins to pace about. "Whatever happens, I chose this.
This entire path in my life, I have chosen it, and now I must live to
fulfill that choice to it's fullest. I trust in those about me, and I
know I can count on their assistance, just as they can count on mine.
The Brigade teems now, and I am happy. Now I must do the harder part,
and be a leader to them, not just someone who grants them entrance into
this Fortress in the mountains."

Chapter 2

A read-headed half-elf woman stands in the market square of Galadon,
setting herself just oustide the hustle and bustle, when a gnome attempts
to hit her on the head and knock her out! After chasing him off, she is
curious, for she had pledged herself to become an Scribe, and didn't want
to have to harm the gnome. When asked why, his only response was he
wanted coin. Saddened by such greedy ambitions, the next time he
attempted such, young Sephira threw her magic whole heartedly into the
fight. It ended with both of them warranted, and the gnome dead at her
hands. Unable to contain her feelings, the half-elf fled, looking for
answers of her own feelings, and what they could possibly mean.

She first sought the council of Inkfil, a mage who was a renowned chef of
the Eternal star. While the gnome himself wasn't dark, he continued to
commit acts of darkness, all in the selfish name of coin. His actions
were punished, and Sephira felt both good and ashamed of herself. Good
for ending a dark act, and shame because she realized her original may
have been wrong for her.

It was Lord Ignolmeer's council that proved the most useful to her.
Despite how cryptic he was, it was most helpful due to it bringing
Sephira to those conclusions somewhat on her own. She was still certain
her life was within the light, but wanted to follow the path her
knowledge and abilities were best suited for, the path of the Maran.

Chapter 1

A young, red-headed half-elf sits cross-legged in the grass, listening to
an elven woman lecture her on the planar theory, and how each plane ties
itself into the prime material plane. The young girl is listening
intently, trying to absord all the knowledge she can from her mother. It
was discovered that she had a magical figt at a very young age, and her
mother was teaching her all that she could before she set off on her own.
When the lecture was done, the two retired to their small abode in the
trees, just oustide of Darsylon. The young girl smiled and giggled on
their way back, always seeming to be in a good mood.

"Mother, why aren't we able to access many of the other planes?" The
child asked in an a very innocent voice.

The elven woman responded in a calm, soothing voice. "My dear, there's
so much we have yet to understand. It's tough to know how we could open
a conduit, let alone control and channel that power!"

The child's lesson continued with such happiness and eagerness from both
sides. The elven woman doing all she could to impart her knowledge of
magic and goodness into her half-elf child.
