Chapter 9

With Deaer's thirst growing and growing. A quest to cure Deaer's thirst was
initiated. With the help of Lord Corrlaan, the fortress realized that part of
Troviallis stayed within Deaer. Blood from the races of Thera were collected
and given to her Lord. It is the hope that these vials will rid Deaer of her
thirst. If they were to fail, Deaer would become something beyond what she
once was. Controlled by Troviallis, she would surely become a true vampire.

Things had gone well for Troviallis... but not as planned. He had tricked
Lord Corrlaan into feeding Deaer all the races blood of Thera except one.
This sent her into a violent rage. Troviallis protected Deaer from the flames
and siezed control of her body. The last time Troviallis had encountered
Deaer he only had to use a fraction of his power to subdue her. Even his
leaving her body was all part of his plan. He had already set in motion the
events that would lead to this one. Yet, Troviallis had not forseen being
weakened upon arrival. His powers had not returned, as it something powerful
was containing him within Deaer's body. Now he is in a struggle against Deaer
to maintain control. Troviallis seeks blood, not just any blood, but the
blood of Deaer's closest friends. The ritual requires the first to give their
pure blood willingly. The rest can be forcibly taken. Troviallis believes
this will restore his power to its rightful place.

When bonded with Troviallis, Deaer has begun poking around in his memories.
Phoenix blood has many holy healing properties and trace amounts of it flows
through Deaer's veins. Though her mind pierces the veil of his memories, she
has been unable to see beyond that so far.

Chapter 8

Many years have past, Deaer spent many years guiding those of the darkness
into the light. Even in all of her attempts, Ozriwddyr has chosen to accept
both the light and the darkness within him. Deaer cannot help but feel
responsible for him not making it all the way. Though it was a very difficult
battle, Deaer always hoped she could save his soul. Deaer just prays his
suffering is over.

Faenral though is stillworking hard at it. She wonders too... will he ever
learn the arts of healing and his soul be purified? He seeks help with all of
the light, so perhaps his chances are better.

Deaer's thirst for blood (literally) grows with each passing year. It is
taking its toll on her. She sought help from Lady Andira, who sustained her
beyond what Dwybaen could. Were Dwybaen to pass away. Deaer might simply
starve to death. Or perhaps she would find some other way to sustain herself.
And bring the Light of Corrlaan to Thera for many more years.

On a happy note, Deaer and Dwybaen got married. And though she secretly
wishes she could just settle down and live with her love until he passed away
from old age. She knows that she could never pull him away from the fight of
the Maran. It is his purpose, what drew her to him, and she sees the outcome
of his fighting every day. Thus she has accepted that she will one day be a
widdow, such is her fate.

Chapter 7

Much has happened in Deaer's life. She found a man that she loves, a squire
named Dwybaen. She spends many waking hours with him, yet she spends many
other others with the rest of her friends within the fortress. But, he is
different to her. His taste, more specifically. She loves the smell of his
blood and since the moment she tasted it after wrapping one of his bandages,
she just wants more. Her desire grows stronger, but she would rather die than
harm Dwybaen. The hunger within her slowly builds. Yet she knows she is
strong enough to resist it. While it brings her great pleasure to taste
blood, she only wants his. A desire as deep as her love for him...

Mean while, Deaer has noticed that many Acolytes of the fortress do not seem
to care about the wicked. They are far from benevolent. Acts of anger,
chasing down the wicked like dogs. The misguided steps of those who fail to
understand the big picture. Those who should forgive instead hunt and inspire
hate. With such, she scrawls a missive her Lord, to seek understanding and
learn what what word must be brought to the fortress.

Chapter 6

The path of Corrlaan has brought Deaer further into the light. Even as
Troviallis tried to kill Dwybaen, a young squire who Deaer cares for deeply,
she was able to break free of Troviallis' control. Thus allowing the squire
to disarm her as she ran for the peak of the Fortress of Light. That is where
she freed herself from Torviallis' soul and broke the illusion that bound
her. Now her skin reflects her mixed blood as well as she has grown fangs due
to the curse that was put upon her. Durring that moment when she was
changing, she nearly became a vampire but she resisted it through sheer will,
her faith, and her adoration for Dwybaen.

Speaking with her Lord, her faith has grown even stronger in the light. With
the darkness lurking within her subdued, Deaer was able to focus on other
exploits. Spreading the word of Corrlaan to the Fortress as well as try to
save the souls of the wicked.

-Deaer is now free of Troviallis
-has tiny little fangs
-the scent of specific types of blood are attractive to her.
-she can still eat regular food and water.
-she still wants to help all of Thera, especially those of the light.
-even more focused on saving the souls of the wicked.

Chapter 5

Being raised by the priesthood in Darsylon is not as glamorous as it sounds
for Deaer. She was constantly kept under watchful eye. As rumors spread to
the elven clergy, Deaer never left the sight of a elf. Even given this, she
still loved the priesthood like family--it was the only family she has ever
known. It was not until Deaer was of traveling age that she, with the
intervention of Troviallis, was given her freedom. Deaer left and began her
new life, going on a pilgrimage of Thera. To better understand the people of
Thera, how to help them, and spread the word of Lord Corrlaan. Troviallis
likes that Deaer is taking a direction of her own and he watches over her
from within as he always has.

Her journey has brought her to the Inn of the Eternal Star where she met a
Felar named Noic Praliwin. It was there that she learned more of the Acolytes
of the Golden Sun and discussed her journey with this odd, drinking Felar.
Brining her to the revelation that her upbringing was not nearly a normal
occurrence. Speaking with the Acolytes brought her before the shrine of Lord
Corrlaan. She humbles herself before the rocky ledge in hope that he will
point her in the right direction to best help Thera while praising him.

Chapter 4

-Deaer is a ditzy elf who is reliant on the star of Troviallias.
-Troviallias is the ancestor of Deaer who now shares a body with Deaer.
-Deaer is a kind, bubbly, loving, and good person.
-She likes to call herself silly if she does something stupid.
-She aspires to be a healer just like her mentor Lanthallas of Darsylon.
-Instead of being a Lazy bumb like Lanthallas, she wants to ease the pain of
goodly people other than in Darsylon. From their wounds to their emotional
woes. She knows that
-When taken over by the star she does not remember what transpired, which
often makes her appear absent minded and confused. Or in her words, "silly".
-Wants to keep bad things from happening to others because she knows what it
is like to lose her family.

A guide to the star Troviallias.
-Wise & strong & slightly haughty, a holy warrior of the past.
-The star only takes over Deaer's body if she cannot handle the situation, if
the vampire side of her would take over otherwise (when the smell of blood
overwhelms her), or when he needs to speak for himself.
-When the star takes over, the light of the star shines from her eyes.

Chapter 3

When the Archon Lord found out what had happened, he came to destroy the
abomination. He cast the Star of Troviallis to Thera where it landed directly
on Liam, killing him instantly in a inferno of light. Taking a step onto
Thera, Corrlaan looked upon Meli who was far too gone to save. "Save my
child, save De-ay!" Meli fainted. With the voice of a thousand angels,
Corrlaan spoke: "My old friend, you know what must be done. Fuse with the
child. Save the last of your kin." The temple radiated with holy energy as
the soul of Troviallis was bound to the unborn child. Gazing down upon Meli,
Corrlaan spoke softly: "You will have to contain the taint of the vampire
within her, Troviallis. I entrust this to you so that your kin might live a
normal life." Thus Deaer, the star-born of Troviallis, was brought into
Thera. When it was over, the Lord of Archons had mercy on Meli taking her
soul with him to the Azure fields... where he waited and watched.

Chapter 2

To understand Deaer, you need to know the whole story. It begins with the
star of Troviallis (the elf who served the Lord of Archons and became a star
in the night sky) and the Archon Lord Corrlaan but their tale is of
friendship. And so we start from the begining of Deaer's life. Meillianthali
(Meli to humans) is Deaer's mother. Meli was a good and noble elf, born to a
long line of high-elves. To everyone else, her husband Liam was a mage of
little interest, studied histories and the past, could cast a few cantrips
but little beyond that was known of him. His guise was strong, Liam was a
dark-elf. Though his magic made him a great alterationist, it was his charm
that truly worked magic upon Meli. He could change his face and skin into
that of another humanoid. Thus Liam had tricked Meli into love, and child.
The child inside of Meli was half high-elf and half dark-elf. As if this was
not enough, Liam cast a dark spell upon Meli, one to corrupt what was in her
womb. Liam was not the creator of this magic, nor did he concoct the potion
from which it was made. He was just instructed to administer it. With a goal
of creating what has not been seen in over an age... A Vampire.
For only by corrupting the pure blood of an elf could such a creature be
created. The Archon Lord watched over this elven line of Troviallis. The
spirit of Troviallis was the head of their house, emblazoned in the night sky
as a star, and has served Corrlaan since the dawn of his rise to Asgard.

Chapter 1

The elf born under the star of the Archon Lord Corrlaan. Before the birth of
Deaer (de-ay) el (elvish for "star of") Aratroviallis (ara meaning noble,
Troviallias -- her true last name), a ritual of divine protection called upon
the star's power. Lanthallas, the healer of Darsylon, was overheard saying:
"The ritual did more than call upon the stars power though. The star fell
from the sky and joined with the newborn girl's body." Thus Deaer had two
personalities, one of a young, timid elf who loved her family, her people,
and her friends. And one who saw the bigger picture, who knew that she could
not shed tears, that even though her mother and father perished in the
ritual, she would be something beyond what she was before. Thus the star
watched over this girl from within.
