Chapter 1

I sought the undead cleric in Arboria, with no answer. I did get a response
from another, the Muse. Once again the Muse has left me wondering, unsure of
myself.I went in hopes to convince the Cleric to aid me in the Elixir,
instead I walked away unsure of my future. I know I can not continue with
flesh, the curse is always if I am correct a step closer. The Muse said she
could rouse the cleric to hear my pleas, yet before that she said I would die
of age trying. I was left unsure of my future. The Muses loyal subject the
Emperor, would he really fear me, remove me from his Empire because of what I
become. Is it true that the Patrons of the Empire care little of my future?
Surely both parties know I am loyal and that my power will only aid the
Empire. The Muse spoke the word mummy. Something many have asked. I know of
this choice, but why would I seek to settle for that. I must become undead in
the Form of a Lich, for it is true power. The Muse said to come to her when I
was ready, I will do this, I will see what the Muse offers, deal with the
Muse, and what I must offer for it. For this may be the only way to beat my
curse

Chapter 2

My time of power has come once again, I take my place as the Dread lord
Leader of the Black sect. The previous the one I take the power away from, he
became useless and lack of presence weakened the Sect and the Empire. I will
not fade away as he did. Even with this pleasing turn of events, I am still
angered and fear that the curse continues. I am sure of it. I am sure someone
has taken the girl away and saved her. I have used all my contacts, all my
resources. I have used lesser blacks eyes in my mission. Yet I was not able
to find any sign of the body. Perhaps my greatest fear will come true, even
with all I have done to prevent it. I will have a son. I have decided that I
must take the next step, I will beat the curse by killing myself, not in the
meaningless sort of death. I will shed my skin and become one of the undead,
a Lich to walk Thera. I will beat the curse of my family. and force all to
oath under the Empire, bring order the lands.

Chapter 3

Why Have I not heard a report of the death? The girl that I took, that night
her body it was not found. It had to have been found by now. It was not well
hidden, In my haste I had to move, there is no way the body was not found
with how I was forced to leave it. I know she is dead, I felt death in her.
Yet no reports of the body, Could my attempt to break the curse be useless,
and that it will always find away. Is she alive? Does she carry a child now?
My Child? There is no way she could have walked away with the injury I
inflicted, someone had to have acted, a healer must have been waiting, was
the assault on the Palace at that moment, nor more then a way to force quick
and careless actions by me? I must find the body dead or alive, and make sure
the curse is not another step closer

Chapter 4

Ive reached as far as I can go as a man. My journey to this point had not
been easy. And time did not stand still for me to do it. Yet I still have
time within me. My loyalties to the Emperor still stand, my duty to the
Empire has not changed. However my faith in the Dread lord is fading. His
lack of presence, lack of action when needed, grows larger as time passes.
Perhaps he has begun the Journey I will soon set out on. I do not know.

Time has come that I start to make ready for the future, my future beyond
being a human. I have pondered how I should go about this, and yet the old
texts seem to be correct, the lich that has provided so many before myself
with the chance at shedding this flesh; will be the one to seek. Yet I feel I
must gain more strength within the Empire first, so that is what I will do
for now, or until I become to old to wait.

Chapter 5

The time came; my Oath was over due, my oath to the Emperor and his Empire
for now. I took the oath, and took a woman that night to celebrate so to
speak, the first stone in my foundation. She was a simple woman, blinded by
the charm I am told I create when I want something from a female. She didn't
scream, she didn't have a single tear, when I made sure nothing could come
from her, to push forward the curse. Her family will not miss her; I doubt
she had one to begin with.

Yet it was not that day that stays in my mind, it was the following
night. When sitting in the local guild studying some texts. It was at that
time a voice whispered to me, the voice of the Muse. The thought of a
creation from death filled my mind. In my studies I had heard a tale of its
work. A part of me hopes to one day see, or even learn to create the work I
have heard of. But for now, I merely listened, to what the Muse spoke. It was
interesting to find how the Muse had a hand in all things alive and dead. It
was the dead part that caught my attention. The small notion of what the Muse
offered, made my lips water for it was an answer to the curse, and a power
beyond what most could seek to touch. I have always known that nothing comes
free, I spoke of the cost of what the Muse hinted it could offer, I was told
simply, "Love". Yet I fear it would be more.

Yet my goal is one of creation, perhaps the Muse will offer me a
power I seek. For now, I will have to let things move along as they should.
Yet I believe I will seek the Muse, and its wisdom, in the Time to come.

Chapter 6

There is a tale past down my family line, rather its the story of a curse,
that affects all the men of the Serrothaw family. Unknowing to me at the
time, that faithful night, I had pushed forward the curse, with the stab of
my dagger. It was not until after the task was done, that I learned of the
curse from my fathers journal, and my fate it would seem I had now sealed by
continuing the curse.

None of the males of my family line have ever been know past their life time.
I however will change that. I will be apart of something, I will lead
something, I will be know in Thera for generations to come. I am not as weak
as my father, or his father, the fools not able to hold a sword, not able to
cast a spell, no more then citizens of the Empire. I will change this shame
my family has held and live past the curse. My loyalties are with myself, to
the Empire, and to the Emperor. I will use anyone and anything I need to gain
the power I seek, I will follow the order of things, and I will follow them
until my power is strong enough.
