It's not my skill, but the first example case that comes to my mind is Battle summoned to a locked room in Galadon and killed.
You can't pick locks while you're fighting guards or a zombie army, but you can unlock.
Random Battle warrior who's going into Galadon to try to bash someone down can't pick locks, but he can use a key you make and give him.
