role + Once upon a time, there was a small village populated by Minotaurs. The
role + village laid far to the northeast of Thera, isolated by the sea, a vast
role + forest and the Dale of the Damned, as the villagers called it. In this
role + village, there was a young Minotaur boy. He so fat, that none of the
role + elders could ever remember seeing a fatter man-calf. The difference
role + between Minotaurs and humans is that the beast-boys have the adults'
role + approval of tormenting the fat boy. Not a day went by when the fat boy
role + did not get beaten, stomped upon, thrown in the dung pit or forced to
role + play the part of 'human wench' in the game of procreation rites. And the
role + fat calf… well, he found his comfort in eating. An evil circle, the more
role + he ate, the fatter he got. And as he grew fatter, the bullying increased.
role + Fortunately, for him, the boy was not completely dumb, so eventually he
role + realized that something had to be done, and he left the village to find
role + himself a new home in the forest.

role + For three years, he lived apart from the village, no longer eating the
role + game of the hunters, but killing his own prey. When he did not hunt, he
role + worked on his physics – lifting rocks, training his arms by lifting
role + himself up and down from a tree limb and running larger and larger
role + distances with a thick log on his shoulders, worn as a yoke. He already
role + had a decent amount of muscles when he started, grown from carrying all
role + that veal around. Slowly though, his body changed from the consistency of
role + very flabby, to pure muscles. When he felt satisfied with his physics, he
role + returned to his old village wowing never to get fat again.

role + He announced his return home by throwing one of the former bullies into
role + the dung pit, jumping in after him and choking him to death in the
role + excrements. That being done, he proceeded to kill another of his old
role + adversaries by simply jumping on its head until it was flat. To secure
role + his future respect, he told himself.

role + Four years later, the time had come for Yyrdoouhn to partake in the rites
role + of procreation for the first time – which is when a calf will no longer
role + be a calf but a bull. He watched with wild, red-shot eyes as the bitch
role + was dragged into the centre of the circle, and the Shaman performed the
role + initial part of the ritual. His eagerness to get going was great, as he
role + had refrained from self-pollution in the past three weeks like tradition
role + demanded. He walked forth to the whimpering woman – a swarthy wench who
role + deserved everything she got if one is to judge her past – pulled to her
role + knees and jammed her face in the ground, and mounted her. He convulsed on
role + his fourth stroke, for to need more time than that was considered
role + unmanly. As he pulled out and looked down through hazy eyes, he thought
role + "damn, shouldn't there be a second hole there as well??"... Then
role + realization dawned upon him… NNOOOOOOOOOOO!!! As he stood up straight
role + again, looking around him with wild eyes, he heard the laughter from the
role + circle of men around him. He lowered his head and charged straight
role + through the crowd, wounding a child or two, but leaving the village never
role + to return.

role + In the following years, stories arose among the people near Arkham of a
role + raging beast, maiming and killing farmers and cattle alike. Eventually,
role + the people began to riot, demanding that the creature be slain. A hunting
role + group led by the captain, Gishka K'ahn, was formed to deal with the
role + problem, and after several months of hard work, the captain himself
role + brought Yyrdoouhn to the Arkham city hall in chains, as the only survivor
role + of the party. The Minotaur would surely have died then, had it not been
role + for the Abbot, Alain Corbett who arranged for him to be locked up in the
role + Arkham Asylum instead.

role + So Yyrdoouhn was locked up alone in a small, dark cell, not having anyone
role + to speak to in the world. He did not mind much, as he was constantly
role + planning his escape. Though because he did not speak to anyone, did not
role + mean he was not spoken to. As he slept, a whispering voice would creep
role + into his cell through a small hole in the wall. The words were often
role + cryptic and obscure, but the message nevertheless made it into the mind
role + of the sleeping Minotaur. "Attempting to gain knowledge and enlightenment
role + by conscious effort of thought, or metaphysical ponderings, will bring
role + but false knowledge and then disaster… The only way to find the truth is
role + by hard, simple work which occupies your body and your conscious self…
role + Then and only then will your soul guide your mind to realise what needs
role + to be realised… If you are aware that you are thinking about a subject,
role + young bull, then you are inevitably on the wrong path… A path which will
role + lead to failure, self-destruction and disaster… Those who claim to be
role + great thinkers and scholars are so only in their own, faulty world… If
role + they are allowed to have an impact on the world, the world will become
role + worse… The men, who delve in magic, are the essence of these dangerous
role + thinkers… They must be destroyed… DESTROYED! … But realise… Young
role + Minotaur, you cannot stop the use of magic alone… Nor can any army hinder
role + the use of magic alone… You will need an ally… In form of a wizard… But
role + not a living wizard, no no young Minotaur, it needs to be a wizard who
role + does nae need flesh… Whose soul has been sacrificed for the removal of
role + such a need… Seek your ally amongst the wizards of the undead… To him,
role + you shall bring power over all magic… Then and only then will those with
role + a soul use magic no more… And you need a second ally… The barbarians… You
role + will know which I mean… With them you shall fight to restrain the mortal
role + mages… Until He is ready for the power…" As such were the words who
role + filled Yyrdoouhn's head, and although he does not know the exact words,
role + or their origin, by the time he escaped, their meaning was his meaning.
