Nothing like seeing your name in print. I've been a consistent writer on a Minneapolis newspaper, had some UNPAID short stories published, and had some technical stuff published...all UNPAID!
The writing organization I'm looking to join wants four pretty-solid published, paid works. No way I'll get that soon, if ever...but if I get just one in the venue I'm shooting for, I'll die happy.
I'll certainly post something here if it happens. I'm not above fishing for praise in any capacity. Good luck with your writing as well...
