I didn't have a lot of trouble staying interested actually. My only lull was being uncaballed, but apart from that I usually had things to do and people to talk with.

I certainly experienced a bit of tedium, 945 hours is ridiculous, but I saw it as I constantly got to make new friends and fight new enemies. That made it fresh and really my char life went in about four or fiv distinct stages that were all unique. Was like playing new chars, without having to go through the boring levelling and skill practicing. And after a while I was so old people sought me out just to talk with me about random things, which I greatly appreciated.

Certainly benefits of being old are being well known, and that people would generally want to interact with you.
