Chapter 4

Arjaby and his saurian ally entered the abandoned church, the air thick with
an eerie stillness. As they made their way through the darkness, they were
met with a series of riddles and powerful undead guardians named Esmeir,
Liarm, and Ipsint. Arjaby's sharp mind and cunning tactics were put to the
test as he solved each riddle and battled each guardian with the help of his
saurian ally.

The saurian couldn't help but be amazed by Arjaby's quick thinking and
resourcefulness. Together, they made their way into a grand throne room where
the vampyre lord, Cserlich, sat on his throne with an undead named Kelerik at
his side.

Cserlich greeted them with a mixture of surprise and anger, but his tone soon
turned sly and cunning. He offered Arjaby the gift of eternal life, to be
born anew as something greater, by joining blood with him.

Arjaby knew the dangers of such a deal but couldn't resist the temptation. He
agreed to join the vampyre lord, and Cserlich moved behind him with
surprising quickness. He whispered for Arjaby to surrender and be born anew
as one of his mindless thralls.

Arjaby felt a wave of fatigue and a sharp pain as something vile entered his
bloodstream. But as he began to lose himself to the vampyre lord's control, a
sudden realization hit him. He still had something to offer.

He knew nearly all rare ingredients and poisons that could be found in the
land, and he was a skilled thief who had amassed a great deal of wealth.
Perhaps he could use this as leverage to strike a new deal with Cserlich.
But the vampyre lord was not one to be trifled with. Arjaby knew that giving
up nearly everything he had worked for would be a difficult decision, but the
lure of eternal life had clouded his judgement. Now, as he felt himself
slipping away, he realized that the only way to regain control over his own
life was to make a deal with the vampyre lord.
