Chapter 1

Suddenly the heart-wrenching truth became abundantly clear. The Lich
gave a brief detailing of how she had slowly honed her craft, using Lohik
as her pawn to find people to experiment upon. Upon perfecting her abilities,
Lucinda brewed the Elixir of Death - and transformed into the immortal
undead that was standing before Lohik in the moonlit bedroom.

Lohik, now beside himself new he must avenge those that had died because
of his blindness. He reached for a holy blade his father had given him.
Before even pulling it from its sheath, he heard the vile creature next
to him utter "Die!".

Lohik, in his ghostly form, rushed back to his corpse just in time to see
Lucinda complete the ritual, and hold up a emerald green phylactery. She
vanished from the room, and spent the coming days slaughtering everyone
Lohik had ever loved with the part of Lohik she had stolen.

It was this sorcery, this great betrayal that awakened Lohik to the evil
of magic. From that moment on, he made a pledge to help rid it from the
world. Yet underneath his simmering fury lies a dark desire to hold
his Lucinda once more...
