Chapter 1

Wickard was born to a family of Svirfnebli advisors to the King. Notable yet
not enough to satisfy her desire to have power. His parents content with the
their standing were getting in the way of her rise. She left for upper
cragstone to find her standing allowed her to skip minor requirements to gain
access to information others would be ignored for.


The overworld was filled with criminals tearing through the civilized
world. Destroying merchant trade routes, shopkeeper livelihoods, and the
whims of the rich. She saw the direct actions her people were taking to
change the course of the crime wave yet it wasn't nearly enough. She
suggested they hire mercenaries and wage a war on crime. It isn't that simple
she was told.


and young she used some of her families money to buy her own small
army. Taking it against the rogues stealing from the caravans. They were
robbed blind leaving her tied up and ransdomed back to her family. She became
frustrated that she never saw the attack coming. Her family cut her off from
their small fortune after finding she wasted the gold while becoming a
liability herself.


She joined the thieves guild to allow her to see these criminals in their
shadows. She decided then and there that she would focus her life on becoming
an ambusher of criminals in the same way they ambushed her. Not letting them
know they are in over their head until it is too late. Sje studied what was
most common in Upper cragstone being trapping.


Despite her desire to raise her station she has a deep connection to her
kin. People born of the earth they connect themselves to the stone. She has a
strong interest in mining ventures and jewelery.


She seeks Lord Rillan to study the ways to elevate her status above the
commoners. She will learn her craft as both the face of the Spire and the
city he will come to control.
