Chapter 2

Being more skilled in the ways of combat and spells I have found new
intriguing ways to use my cunning. Never telling the truth fully has gotten
me far, though I would never lie, I am sure my allies wonder what I mean
from time to time, as I am quite civil with anyone that seem reasonable. And
I must say its quite amusing that Imperials seek to travel with me even
though I have slayed several of them. But its a system I can exploit, their
knowledge is apparently not passed down in their own sects even, quite
amusing. Even the shadows seek my company from time to time. Aside from that
my progress has been slow but steady, even at times quite amusing, bantering
with fellow mages about what spell is the most appropriate and its true
affects on a foe. I can only say that few of them would survive true combat
with a mage that has some insight into the spells my guild provides. My time
has come to approach the Scion fold though I am unsure of whom to approach as
their former chancellor now has left to burn in the eternal fires of
creation. Their knowledge of torturing and crippling their victims is as far
as I know unsurpassed, and becoming one of them would surely boast my own
strength and knowledge.
