Chapter 5

As Hexugar promised his father, he would return to the Underdark upon
reaching the age of old in dark elven eyes. Hexugar, anxious to return
and pass on the plethera of knowledge and skills about how to combat
mages returned just shy of that age. He sought to make sure his Tribe
is prepared for the final assault upon the Dark Elf City. To erradicate the
matriarchal rulers and have them take their rightful place as the Fathers
of the dark elf society. Through their iron rule they would eliminate the
practice of magic completely, scorn worship to eliminate it as a threat
and leave the society as the pure underground deadly creatures dark
elves were meant to be.

Hexugar slinked into the hidden caverns of the Ugah'Cull to find what
can only be a disaster. A disaster that had happened quite a while back.
While Hexugar was learning the ways of the village, and warring upon
the surface, the Dark Elf City must have found this place and entered
into a full out encounter that spanned half the Underdark caverns.

Hexugar surveys the caverns and the smell of ancient death is everywhere.
He rummages through the now skeletons of hundreds of males and
female corpses looking for his Father. He is unable to find him, although
he finds everyone else of his Tribe. The slaughter was biblical in that
no side escaped without suffereing catstrophic losses.

A rage boils up in Hexugar, one that begins to overwhelm his senses
and he begins to feel his rational mind slip away. A rage so strong that
instinct begins to take over. He feels the rage begin the transformation
his people speak of. To at his body's death to return as a wild creature
to the Underdark to hunt any who find their way there. Hexugar is only
able to maintain a certain amount of control, but this drive continues
to boil up within him. He will not be able to resist it for much longer...
