Chapter 1

"You put a scorpion and a pit viper in their bed." said the rough looking
dark elf male sitting in a tiny cave in the Underdark. Hexugar sat
there starig up at his Father while they talked over the fire.

"But father, why do both, would one suffice?" said Hexugar as he
continued to push the conversation.

"Because women, especially the mages, are tricky prey. We must
guarantee their death by any means. If the scorpion fails to sting
or the pit viper fails to bite, the other in opposite can, while she
is distracted."

Hexugar nodded quickly, as did other heads hidden in the darkness
around the fire. There were many more here than could be seen.

His Father continued, "This is why we embrace the aspects of not
one deadly creature of the darkness, but two or more. This is why
our warriors who fight against the city, the Matron, and the female
mages do so well."

Hexugar looked around at the gathered band of dark-elf males and
their subservant females and smiled. This is how life should be. The
women should not rule, it should be the males. Rule with a patriarchal
society. When this is done, it is how life should be. The females gain
their superiority in the cities through trickery and magic. Forcing men
to be underneath them. This is not the premise of the "Ugah'Cull".

A feminine chuckle suddenly echoes through the darkness
throughout the small, corner cavern in the Underdark.
"Look what I have here. A bunch of insects and vermin that need
to be killed."

There was no more warning, just a sudden explosion of fire that
detonated from the small fire in the middle of the cavern. The flesh
of Hexugar's father was instantly burned, charring him, but not
killing him. He turned into the darkness and shouted one word,
"Ugah'Cull!"
Instantly within his hands were his weapons of training and choice,
a mace and axe. His hunched feature took on a feral shape as he
sprang into the chaos of battle against a strike party of female
Matron Mother mages. A female invoker stepped forward to battle
the father. She immediately noticed the mace and cackled as a
water shield wrapped itself around her.

The father nodded quietly to himself as he engaged without fear. For
those who emulate two creatures of the Underdark do so for a
reason. For him, it was the cavefisher and displacer beast. As the
leader of the "Ugah'Cull" his fighting style is unprecedented. He
embraces the cavefisher within him and dual wields an axe instead.
Fear and realization washes over the female invoker as this
change in tactics sinks in,. Not a moment later she is pincered
between his axes, and dies a quick death.
