RoleChapter 2 Goals for the near future Added Fri Aug 6 19:41:22 2004 at level 49:One of my goals should soon come to fruition, as the Galadon Kingpin has offered to make me the head of my guild in Hamsah in order to cease the thieves' war. Hipsin says he has no desire to fight any of the Fold and wishes the Bandit King Calheil thrown down, with me in his place. Lord Qaledus has received the plan well and approves. As Bandit King, I will be able to use my thieves as a spy network for the Chosen. I hope in earnest that Calheil will accept the transition with grace, since he has proven more than useful on several occasions and it would be a pity to lose so valuable a guild member.
A goal that has been met: Sartaganeos has failed his quest, while Corilanth now walks the lands as a mummy lord. As I predicted, he is a powerful ally and heeds my wishes for the most part. I keep him happy with shiny trinkets and magical wands that I happen to obtain. Signs point to him as the next Chancellor. Of the other two magi in consideration, the transmuter possibly has a chance and the invoker, in my opinion, next to none. The younger magi present no threat at this time.
The Archmage punished Jugorath for showing up only with the odds in his favor, and I can't say he didn't deserve it. Having walked the lands alone for so long after Kungkruk's death, this event gives me no small amount of satisfaction. The Archmage further hinted that other expulsions would follow, and I have a feeling that certain thieves will not be with us for much longer.
At times the magi's caution sickens me.The invoker, though useful, could be a force has not made any sort of reputation for himself that I can see.The transmuter would be far more effective if he had been under the tutelage of someone such as Dralyth. Jugorath's foolishness has been costly in that it has given them even more of an excuse to look down upon us "soldiers." Something is needed to tip the scales back in my favor, and at the same time give them some backbone in the face of the enemy. The Ccul'gra abhor the weakness recently shown within the Fold. Would that the Gods consider me the Advisor of the Chasm. I would certainly not disappoint them.
