Chapter 2

Yethieliel was raised by his mother in a village far from the heart of Thera.
who are raised in the village, as well as most who stumble upon it -
and there are very few who stumbled upon it - do not leave the village.
Being far from everything, darkness and racial prejudice have never touched
those there. Never having met his father, and having found that none of the
villagers had known him, had always bothered Yethieliel. His mother was
always there for him, them being the only two arials in the village.

Soon after being raised to the age of young adult, five foreigners managed to
wander into the village proclaiming that the village was now ruled and
protected by the Emperor. The village council was gathered quickly and
determined that they could not endure the rule of people they have never seen
nor heard of. The village was razed and all inhabitants subdued or murdered.

Emperor.

Since, Yethieliel has managed to find the heart of the realm, but is mentally
and emotionally scarred. He has convinced himself that his mother is still
alive. Sometimes his fits go far enough that he believes any friendly female
to be his mother. Above all though, he holds revenge against the empire in
the deepest reaches of his heart.
