You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#33, "Give us a week or two advance notice before implementing major changes?"

- It will allow us to debate the issue in an open forum and possibly present angles that you may have overlooked.

- It allows the players to feel like they're a part of the process and provides an overall better playing experience.

- It removes some of the frustrations of having a character that would be affected by X change (either delaying a character they were about to roll or getting the most out of whatever is about to be changed)

To be plain, this often isn't something we want. Player feedback is indeed important, but involving the playerbase in the pre- mplementation process is also asking for all kinds of trouble. Some day when I have more time I'll elaborate on this if I have to.

See above.

This aspect of your request is something I'll try to consider on a case-by-case basis. Often times this just doesn't make sense, could give someone an unfair advantage, or just creates unnecessary noise (i.e., people are going to complain twice as loud after we announce something but before it actually goes live because they want us to change it at 11:59).
