I remember a time when the mongoose form was pretty strong - or at least able to contend with other forms. I don't know how, when or even if it ever got nerfed. It really seems to be one of, if not the, least desired defensive forms. I have yet to dodge a spell with it, and I have dodged very few and far between skills.

It didn't. Other forms got better, and its biggest weakness people figured out and exploited. I added a small chance for them to avoid area spells which will help with that.

You're probably not paying any attention then. 2nd icicle I cast at the mongoose...

You try to cast a spell at a mongoose but he is no longer there.
A mongoose has a few scratches.
