Would it be possible to have forms with similar stats unable to roll 2nd and 1st tiers with similar stats, like Snow Leopard/Bobcat added to Hare with Mongoose/Lemur? Or would this narrow the insight into final forms more than you wish already?

Snow leopard is already in that bunch, and bobcat is not. Trimming out bobcat would make it uber narrow, I'd probably need to come up with a few more defense forms at that tier that are not tied to any others to make that happen. More long-term than now.
