Here is what was echoed to Thera when Gadinias died:

A horrible, rending sound, like that of steel being torn asunder spreads over the land. A tiny, almost inaudible high pitched voice follows behind it, "Oops."

In your mind, the universe seems to stop turning all at once. Apparently, something has gone terribly wrong.

A shrill voice shouts from the direction of Asgaard, "It wasn't me!"

The gods apprehend Gadinias, who quickly confesses (under threat of novsupper for a week) to having 'accidentally' invented a "Universe Stopping Machine."

As punishment for his tom-foolery and high jinx, Gadinias is forced into a great wheel, to run forever in order to keep the universe turning.

Unbeknownst to Gadinias, Pico sneaks up and unlatches the wheel....

Pico and the other Immortals watch in amusement as Gadinias spins himself into oblivion.
