You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#50, "Herald Cooking Ideas"

I am in great need of some awesome ideas. I would like to put in some high end ingredients for Herald Chefs to utilize - Maybe even ingredients with special attributes. I would like some ideas that would be rare food items found in CF. I had originally thought something like truffle oil... but truffle oil is really only expensive and rare in our world rather than the CF world. It wasn't all that long ago in the grand scheme of time that truffles were readily available and not at all expensive or rare. If you just want to name an item awesome! If you want to name a potential attribute even better. If you want to go all out and write a description you just might see it in the game.

Thank you all!

Since immortals walk Thera, they or their pets inevitably leave traces of themselves behind. For example, Shokai's phoenix has lost a feather and just a strand of that feather would make a powerful ingredient. Naturally, Shokai's phoenix wasn't just a fabled phoenix, it was SHOKAI's phoenix with a bit of power infused into him. His feather isn't all that powerful, of course, but still makes for a powerful ingredient.

Or Thrakburzug's petrified nose slime. For ages no one paid any attention behind his throne in the shrine where he would occasionally blow his nose until some reveler orc found specks of it.

Or the beak of Reksah's raven. No, it's not dead, it's the same raven, just that it had to live without a beak for a time and painfully regrow it back. That's what you get for a night hunt without asking.

Or you can have a contest for the item and its history.

Edible Gold

A thin sheet of flattened gold lays on the ground here.

Or something to that effect. My wife and I found it after I read your post.

Please don't use my description its horrible, but edible gold is 24 carat gold that is either in thin sheets or powdered and added to food for looks. I thought maybe a small bonus to haggling or something with money...

Its early here and I am not awake yet. Let me know what you think Captain!
