Pun aside, what about the introduction of customizable eating and drinking a la sleeping and standing. There are many situations where how one character would eat or drink something differs from their usual pattern and from how others perform the same actions.

An elf might choose to sip his wine delicately, while a dwarf would take massive swigs of his ale. A tragic bard might stare downcastedly at his mug before finishing the contents while a comedic bard may half-heartedly chug down an ale with a big grin on his face.

For example:

eat steak in one loud, savage bite.
You eat the charred steak of an elven sentry in one loud, savage bite.
Orc eats the charred steak of an elven sentry in one loud, savage bite.

drink skin sipping delicately from its contents.
You drink wine from a skin of Tyrgrath's favorite sipping delicately from its contents.
Darkelf drinks wine from a skin of Tyrgrath's favorite sipping delicately from its contents.
