You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#72354, "Entropy questions"

1. Do entropy players have a lower edge potential because there are no leaders? Hence no edge points for becoming leader for the first time?

2. Does improbability tunnel work against abs and invoker shields, or is it Vs spellbane and resist?

3. Do the changes in physical characteristics caused by improbability tunnel include size? Vision? Or just the six basic stats?

4. Are the changes permanent, ignoring any further changes?

1. There is a "Recruiter" position that is technically, code-wise, a leader position with the associated edge and constitution benefits. The Recruiter does not have authority to order members around and generally should not be uninducting anyone.

2. It increases the chance that a spell bypasses spellbane, at the very least. It may help bypass other types of magical shielding as well, but a coder would have to be more specific. It also does some other really interesting things that I think tend to be overlooked.

3. Assuming "changes" refers to improbability tunnel, it's more than just the six basic stats, but it does not include size or vision.

4. Again assuming "changes" refers to improbability tunnel, the changes all wear off over time. However, once applied, the individual affects don't change until they wear off.
