In the interest of fun battles at low levels, ambush isn't as successful pre-25, and with serpent strike not coming until 20, low level rangers have almost nothing in the way of comabt options (dirt, disarm). Perhaps lower serpent strike, or add a new low level option for the poor ranger folk.

p.s.

Haven't played a ranger since ambush was changed, so I don't know how much ambush actually got nerfed, but it occured to me that low level rangers are boring, and without being able insta kill lowbies with ambush, sitting in the woods would truely be without point.
