Faerie fire is not preventing elves/dark elves from sneaking, or wood-elves and halfies from quiet movement. Is this by design?

Actually, it DOES prevent drow sneaking. Just only for a very short time.

But part of what makes drow cool to play, imho, is the ability to sneak soon after being faerie fired.
