The cost of it didn't change that I am aware of. What may have happened is that you haven't met the requirements for it because it takes a pretty decent chunk of obs exp.

Pick one edge to take when you hero (unless you are a shifter wanting to roll/spin).

Anything else is a bonus, don't worry about cost.

Everyone that is spending hours grinding commerce is crazy.

It's gone so far from one extreme (to many edges) to the other extreme (no edges) that it's impossible to bad combos now.
