You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

#6081, "Thief Guild Kingpins and such"

This was an idea I had when playing Thent, and don't think it would be to 'over powering' or anything like that, but might add a nice element to the thief guild and their current existance.

When someone is named kingpin (or bandit king, godfather, enforcer or spymaster) besides giving them 'blackball', give them a 'who guild' command and a 'guild talking' command. Basically, I envision it like a CB or orc's CLAN, but differing in the fact that only the kingpin would be able to use it, but all guild members could hear it.

Any thoughts? I think this could be really cool.
