You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

Skeleton warriors and thieves?

Zombie invokers and a-ps?

Some sort of mantis or Three-Krin going out of their hives in summer due to the high temperature, swarming the lands.

Would not be able to communicate if not their race,

-500 exp bonus,
100 hours life duration. So that anyone would be able to rank it up quickly, wreak some havok and vanish quickly.
Very limited equipment slots
Some nasty inherents like acid spits and burrow (even underground travelling while burrowing perhaps?), enhanced piercing hth damage
Not able to loot player corpses
Race points significantly modifying the nature of the creature (i.e. you make it scout/warrior/mage type via points, not via character choice in the start).

The point would be to have seasonal infestation when players are able to play some agressive semi-NPC stuff which would make it possible for Thera's sentient races be able to unite against something more evil once in awhile.

Would be fun no?

They've been on the table as a possibility.
