You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

Why is some quests only activiated with certain characters. For example, I have played two felar warriors. The last one found quests that the first one did not, and after asking around I knew the quest was around with both chars. This quest is activated when you walk to the mob.

Is there a few quests that are granted by immortals as rewards, and only a few selected will ever know about them?

Quests can be triggered by any number of characteristics - your
character's age, level, class, abilities - if you can think of it,
it's probably been a part of a quest somewhere. My personal favorite
are quests that are triggered by completing other quests, keeping the
story going.

I'm sure there are a good number of quests out there that have only
been seen by a select few, if any. It pays to be observant, it pays
to wander around. And sometimes it matters when you wander
around...

Really, that question is impossible to answer. What do you consider to go beyond a little interaction and become a "quest"? Making it through Hell intact? Fetching a little water for a dying man to save him? Running an errand for someone? Everyone has a different definition of what they will call a quest.

Here's my answer: A LOT :-)
