The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. #54736, "Covert/Improved Hiding Request"
Edited on Mon 31-Mar-14 03:58 PM

Pretty much wouldn't mind seeing these made into one skill, not sure why they aren't one skill already seeing as 'covert' seems to only take away the echo when you open/close doors/containers from what I understand (I've used covert and don't see anything different honestly - maybe add an echo so you know something happened if nothing else?)

Also - if memory serves, imrpoved hide does not keep you from stepping out while eating/drinking - If this is so, if you can open/close doors and all the rest, you should be able to eat and drink while remaining hidden, I could be wrong about that.

I'd basically like to 'get rid' of improved hide and just call it 'covert' to better visualize the idea of doing whatever you are doing while remaining hidden. Oh and I'd hope this could include being able to give orders to mercenary pets without stepping out.

I'd really like to be able to use a mercenary to 'talk' with while remaining hidden.

I think changes in this direction (combining covert/improved hide into one single skill, not stepping out while eating/drinking/being able to give mercs orders without stepping out) would be worth 7 thief points vs the 6 you spend now if you want both covert and improved hide.

Just a thought.

EDITED TO ADD:

Arcane Path - Does it have anything similar to the Shadow Sects 'light into shadow' if not, why not? It sorta makes sense that it should.
