I am under the impression that you imm types dislike "the other sites" which might give out item values and what not. I think that you could negate the harm done by those websites by making lore less of a whore to use. I do realize that lore can be practiced enough so that it is actually useful but that is a kind of unfun aspect of the game that I feel a lot of people don't want to delve into. I understand that someone CAN make another class for pure exploring functions like a mage, bard, or priest with ID but many of the playerbase simply do not care for those kind of classes for whatever reason.

My suggestion

How about you make it so that lore works at 75% as well as it does at %100. But let us say that the catch is that when loring at 75% it uses 75% of your mana (no use giving warrior types a totally free ride) and when as you improve it takes less and less of your mana.
