We had an influx of new players over the last couple of weeks, good job who ever is making that happen. Then i am seeing people specifically targetting those people after they spam the noobie channel with questions, and their name is showing. Giving them a warm cf welcome and all that. I also find if I have a complex speech pattern or rp, I can completely dispel that by answering a noobies question. So Please Noobie channel anonymous always.

I just feel like sometimes I dont want to talk on the newbie channel (to give answers or ask questions) when people can see my name.

but I'm fairly sure that you appear as "a helpful mortal" to everyone on the channel. I've said stuff and on my side it said my name but saw it come up as helpful mortal in logs that people posted, just by chance. That was choosing yes to help others, and no to being new to the mud.
