You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#43994, "How about a new rule for these forums?"

"Don't post as your current mortal(s), unless it is on a battlefield thread or an issue for the bug board. Try to use common sense when posting as your current mortal(s), so as to keep your real persona and your in-game persona separate."

Obviously, this doesn't apply to the staff.

I'm just tired of seeing people post using their current mortal names, yet in a completely OOC way on the gameplay forum (or even just over-doing it on the Battlefield). Personalities bleed through in everything that a person writes, and if it's a long-lived character in particular, it becomes harder to see them as they are meant to be seen in the game.

I'm not expecting everyone to agree with me on this, but I am curious if the majority holds the same view.
