i have been wondering about, how a duergar who arent enlarged, can bash a giant /max wieght) to death?

i belived that the size diffrence had more to say...

just never tryed to be bashed to death as a giant aginst one size lower than myself before.

According to Nep bash lag is not affected by size/weight. Only the chance to land a bash. So theoretically a gnome could permalag a reduced fire giant it is just highly improbable.

I know I took the bash legacy as a half-elf and couldn't land anything but I have also been a giant who got bashed in for 30 straight rounds by a normal size dark elf without the bash legacy.

I don't know how many bashes it took to kill you, but a size mismatch doesn't mean you can't bash, but that it is harder to land. In all things melee haste matters, so that increased the likelihood it would hit you. APs do not get dodge, so it is reasonable to believe he was near max weight, which would also help him land the bash.

After that, it is pure rng for how long each bash lasts.
