#35700, "drow_only items and becoming question"

If you are arial or a drow, and you have arial_only or drow_only items, will you be able to use them after becoming a mummy or a lich?

To what extent does your pre-becoming race affect your post-becoming race? I assume your CON is the same, but if you were previously drow do you still have drow dexterity?

Nope. You have the max stats of your new race.

That does not include con, for mummies. Im sure i had the same con as before I became. Also, when I became a mummy, im almost sure I could train a couple stats higher than before, but I could be wrong.

Max stats as in, your old race racial maximums get replaced by your undead race racial maximums, not as in, your permanent stats are set to your new racial maximums.

I assume that some of the stats decrease as well. Let's say that your arial necro has 25 dex and becomes a mummy. I assume that a mummy has a max dexterity lower than 25. Would the arial necro's dexterity be lowered to new racial max in becoming and would he get trains as compensation for stat loss?

seriously?

My bet is that if your new max is below your current stat then you get set to the racial max and don't get any trains. I haven't done a mummy or lich but that seems to be what the case woudl be.

I wasn't asking for more bonuses for them. I just wanted to know how things are currently.

And are there lich_only or mummy_only items at all?

My beautiful idea of drow necro is ruined anyways, since after becoming he won't be able to use those marvelous items that I found
