You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

It would be nice if you could pick a legacy twice(Maybe this would not apply to all legacies) and have it add a little more. Make it so the affects of the legacy are not doubled, but just a little more, like 1.5X what it originally did.

If for no other reason than the fact that I've only picked 12 out of thirty-six legacies and will need at least another year to just have experimented with every single one. Then of course there is the interaction between race, specs, and legacy combos. Now you want to add to my list of things to do double legacy choices? That's crazy talk.

Seriously though I see a few problems - the biggest of which is that the Imms seem reasonably happy with the current balance of each legacy. Improving some, even at the cost of losing a second legacy, changes the balance factor. Maintaining balance will, I suspect increase the number of people complaining that their legacy choice was a waste. Secondly, it doesn't make sense for all legacies - what would you do for balance of the sister/balance of the sister choice?

That Team Legacy talked about doing this back at the design phase and very quickly decided not to, as tempting as double power Hour Past Midnight was.
